Description
Provides final effluent disinfection by UV irradiation (no chemical residual), typically applied where regulatory or reuse standards require pathogen reduction.
Typical ranges:
- UV dose: 20–40 mJ/cm² (higher if required by permit/reuse)
- Flow per system (package dependent): ~10–5,000 m³/h
- Typical log reduction: Bacteria 2–4 log, Viruses 1–3 log
- UVT operating band (design dependent): ~55–95%
